“With the combination of a personally designed strength program, coaching and stretch therapy with Marlo, I was able to work through an injury, and have consistent and successful winter training!”

“Marlo played a critical role in my return to training through her specialized knowledge in stretch therapy and application.”

“I had such a great stretch therapy session with Marlo! It was like a mix of yoga and a massage, and the results were amazing. Marlo is super knowledgeable and professional. I’m looking forward to my next session!”

“I worked with Marlo for about 6 months, until she (sadly for me) moved back to Canada. I am a competitive masters rower and I wanted some strength training to supplement my on-the-water training. Marlo has experience as an athlete in several different sports and it has given her a great base for understanding the demands on the body and the imbalances that can occur from the repetitive movements in different sports. She places a very strong emphasis on correct posture and movement during your workout, very important for avoiding injury and for actually getting the intended benefits. I was familiar with basic olympic-style weight lifting but Marlo’s workouts were much more varied and interesting with a strong emphasis on development of core stability, balance and strength. Correct posture and a strong core are absolutely crucial in rowing for transmission of power from the legs to the oar handle without causing back injuries. After a few months I really could feel a difference in the boat and in simple everyday activities. Furthermore, that summer, I won my first Masters single race at USRowing Masters National Championships in Oakridge, TN!!”

“Marlo was my strength coach for the year leading up to my first Ironman. As a triathlete, strength and conditioning was always being neglected as training for three other sports took precedence. Marlo’s training was innovative and even as a triathlete, retired varsity athlete, and personal trainer myself, she had exercises I had never heard of or done. I truly believe that she was absolutely instrumental in my training preparations for Ironman and helping to keep me healthy and injury free. Her knowledge of physiology combined with her personal experience as an athlete were exceptional as she was able to connect to me on both levels and had the innate understanding of what it was like to be a competitive athlete. I have since moved across the country and in the 3 years that I have been on the West Coast, I constantly find myself going back to her strength program and exercises to keep me healthy and injury free while training. I continue to use the exercises and apply the principles she taught me during our work together. Her enthusiasm and passion for helping athletes succeed in their chosen sport is unparalleled. I always left our sessions not only physically stronger, but mentally stronger as well. I can’t say enough about my time working with her and I only hope that she will move out West one day so I can have sessions with her again!”

I had the pleasure of working with Marlo for a shoulder issue caused by an overuse sport injury. She used Fascial Stretch Therapy on me, which is a gentle and effective way to relieve pain and improve movement.
From our first session, I felt comfortable. Marlo took the time to understand my needs and adjusted each stretch to help me specifically. The relaxed approach made it easy to let go of tension and truly feel the benefits.
Marlo is knowledgeable , passionate and friendly, making each visit enjoyable. If you’re looking for relief and improved movement, definitely see Marlo!
